Meet Morris Jones Jr. — The Man Behind the Words

I started writing poetry in high school as a way to reflect, analyze, work through, process, and finally regulate my emotions because I learned that if I didn’t, it would cause a lot of inner problems to crush me under their weight. I often didn’t feel the need to vent to others and suffered in silence because I felt like my problems and chaotic emotions would have been a burden to other people who may have had bigger fish to fry and bigger problems to resolve in their lives. Ultimately, as I discovered myself and talked with God for years about publishing, and let trusted family and friends read my poetry, I realized my gift for writing poetry helped others, so I decided to publish it in two books. The Silent Voice from the Valley to Rebirth and The Women Who Shaped Me Where Love, Memories and Becoming Intertwine.
